What is “Simplicity in Christ”?
It’s the clear message of grace revealed to our Apostle Paul — that God has already done everything needed for our salvation.
Religion says, “Do.” Christ says, “Done.” All denominations of Christendom offer systems of effort, rules, and ritual — but true Christianity rests in God’s finished work.
As Sir Robert Anderson* wrote:
“Between the religion of Christendom and the revelation upon which it claims to be founded there yawns a gulf which is impassable.”
That revelation is the message of reconciliation given to Paul — the good news that
God forgave the world at the Cross.
The only response He asks of us is to believe it.
